Sculpted Cake: Model T Engine Cake
We created this car engine cake for an 80th Birthday this weekend. The cake replica of a Ford Model T Engine was sculpted in full size to match the original engine. The best part of the story: the customers brought the actual engine to the bakery rather than supplying us with photos. It was such fun perfecting the lettering, cylinders, and other engine parts.

A fan was sculpted from sugarpaste, and then sugar bolts & screws were added - just like the real thing.
The spark plugs to the engine were sculpted out of gumpaste with a flame on top to represent candles.
Our final product measured 20" long by 16" wide and 16" tall.
The car engine cake was delivered to a party in Acushnet, Massachusetts.

Giraffe: Baby Shower Cake Update
Here is an updated photo of the giraffe baby shower cake all set up at Cranebrook Tea Room baby shower event. I love the cupcakes circling the cake, it is a great look and so easy to set-up and you don't have to worry about a cupcake stand...

Also, here is the copy of the jungle baby griaffe invitation that we used to make the giraffe on the baby shower cake....

Giraffe: Baby Shower Cake
We created this cake for a baby shower held at Cranebrook Tea Room & Restaurant in Carver, Massachusetts.

The theme was giraffes and jungles for the new baby girl. The cake flavor was chocolate with vanilla buttercream and we copied the sugarpaste giraffe from the invitation. A ring of 30 cupcakes surrounded the cake at the restaurant which made for a beautiful presentation without having to worry about our cupcake stands!
