Anniversary Cake @ Hawthorne Country Club

This two tiered 40th Anniversary cake was created for a party held at the Hawthorne Country Club in Dartmouth Massachusetts. Simple piping and a dark chocolate brown beaded border give this cake a twist from the traditional white anniversary cake. Fresh blossoms: orchids, roses, and lillies create a autumn floral display on the top and in small groupings.

The cake flavor included alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate cake with raspberry marmalade filling and vanilla buttercream frosting.

Autumn Pleats Wedding Cake @ Cape Cod Private Residence

An intimiate gathering at a breathtaking Classic Cape Cod Home in Dennis, Massachusetts was the backdrop for this fall themed wedding. The bride's dress complete with horizontal pleats was the inspiration for the cake. Not many people are concerned with the back of the cake, but I learned at the end of our consultation that the bride had removed the silver buttoms from her great grandmothers wedding gown to be used as closures on her own- from that moment on - the back of the cake became a priority.

The back of the cake features small silver dusted pearls running from top to bottom. The topper: an arrangement of classic fall blooms in autumnal shades.
Small groupings of flowers create a balanced display, along with tiny white tea roses which were mainstays in the bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets.

The silver tray, one from the mother-of-the bride was a beautiful accent to the cake display.

Cake flavors included: Vanilla Butter Cake with Oreos and Cream filling and Pistachio Cake with Raspberry Buttercream
