Since the age of 10, Meredith Ciaburri has had a passion for baking that was
originally inspired by her mother and grandmother. More than seventeen years later Meredith is the owner and pastry chef of The Artisan Kitchen in Rochester, Massachusetts.

Valedictorian of her graduating class at The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, Meredith has studied under the most infuencial pastry chefs in the world including Buddy Valastro, Patty Mitchell and legendary Betty Van Nordstrand.

In 2005, while attending Johnson & Wales University College of Business
Meredith began selling her pastries to friends and family and joked that she
would love to open the South Coast’s first boutique bakery.

In 2006, The Artisan Kitchen officially opened in a 144 square foot bakery space with a staff of one. Today, Meredith operates a 1600 square foot bakery including storefront and sugar art studio staffed by six talented employees and professional artist.

Meredith’s sweets have been featured at The Boston Flower Show, Boston Weddings Magazine & Beantown Bride. Industry awards include The St. Honoré Baking & Pastry Award and Katherine Angell Achievement Award.
